Anna Verwaal is a Netherlands-born maternal-child health expert known internationally for her work in birth psychology, prenatal education, and conscious conception & birth support. She is a maternal-child health nurse, conscious conception and birth consultant, primal period educator, midwife and doula instructor, UCLA-certified lactation educator, and birth photographer.
Anna trained and worked for many years as a nurse in obstetrics, pediatric, neonatal, and home health settings before focusing on birth consulting and education. She eventually started her own private birth consulting practice and has been teaching and lecturing internationally to parents, doulas, midwives, nurses, and other birth professionals.
Her work centers on how conception, prenatal conditions, and birth experiences influence an individual’s lifelong patterns physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
She regularly gives workshops, trainings, and keynote lectures worldwide and has presented on these topics at numerous international events. She is regularly featured on podcasts and reportedly given two TEDx talks about the psychological impact of birth experiences.
